Due to the significant interest in our medical assessment service we have now arranged a web based assessment for the purpose of obtaining a signed medical form.

For the healthy person with no medical issues and that will be the vast majority of you the fee will be £65 (2010).

For those of you (who are still in great health but may have one or two slight medical issues) we will endeavor to keep the fee to £65 and our expert will contact you by phone to discuss the issues. We are confident that this will iron out most of the further questions that might arise. In a very small number of people requests for medical records and correspondence may be needed and we will pass the costs of obtaining these records on to you at cost (i.e. we will only charge you what we have been charged for obtaining these medical records).

In April 2008 due to event insurance requirements, rules concerning medical certificates changed for European events, including the Etape du Tour.

Regarding the Etape Du Tour specifically, UK operators will start receiving entry forms from the ASO in November 2008 onwards. The Etape Du Tour entry form will need to be stamped and signed by a doctor or your GP.

You will not be able to participate unless you provide the entry form signed and stamped. This requirement will also be applicable to most other European events.

In review of this new requirement, we have arranged, with a national medical rehabilitation company, access to accredited GP's across the UK, who will be fully aquainted with the new procedure.

This is in response to the many emails we have received from members who need assistance in getting their medical form signed. As this is a new development, we are not sure how many of you will require assistance in this direction.

Depending on your location, willingness to travel, we anticipate the fee for this to be around £95. Our aim is to provide this at the lowest cost possible, the lower costs will be acheived moving forward with demand.

In order to facilitate this process, if you are having problems getting your medical form signed, or want a precise and convienent method to obtain a medical certificate, we have constructed a health screening form, which you need to fill in online that will enter our appointment booking workflow.

We will then be able respond to you with some likely locations and dates to make an appointment, have your medical exam, and get any entry forms signed and a standard medical certificate produced for future events for the next 12 months.

This includes entry forms for events including the Etape du Tour. Clients will be able to bring along the entry form and have that stamped, signed and dated by one of our accredited GPs who will provide a comprehensive health screening.
